im not able to turn on both side printing on my Mac! my Printer is canon G3000 it supports manual duplex printing in windows laptop but im not able to select that option in my MacBook please help me! anyone!

Printer won't print double sided So I've got a Canon D420 with all of the latest drivers installed onto my laptop (Macbook Pro Late-2012 with macOS Mojave, ver. 10.14.5), however my laptop doesn't give me the option to print double sided. I can print double sided with the same printer plugged into a Windows device, it's just my Macbook that's giving me this issue. I've already looked at the settings for the printer and in Settings>Printers And Scanners>Options and Supplies> Options, it doesn't give me a checkbox for duplex printing, which I am very sure it is capable of because it does print double sided when plugged into a Windows device. Every other support thread I've seen just suggests driver update or checking duplex, but neither of those have worked for me. Anyone else have this issue?

My printer is capable of printing 2 sided but the option remains off on my mac print preferences. How do i turn it on? It's greyed out and i can't select it? It doesn't matter if I'm in Pages, Firefox, Preview etc, it's never available. I have to email documents to my father to print from his computer (the same printer I'm connected to) so he can use the 2 sided function. I don't get it. Why can't i select 2 sided?

Manual duplexing can be preformed on many printers by printing:

even pages in reverse order, then

re-loading them in the input try, then

printing the odd pages in regular order.

If your printer is supposed to support AUTOMATIC duplexing, you may have accidentally installed its "airPrint" driver or "Generic Postscript" Driver instead of the full-featured Canon driver for this printer.
