my Airplay on my macbook pro shows "off" in the display settings and there is no option for "on".
Is there another way to turn this on?

panders01,
Thanks for the updated information. It sounds like you are actually trying to use the Sidecar feature, and we have a much more specific resource to help with that:
Use your iPad as a second display for your Mac with Sidecar
If any issues remain after following that guidance, you'll want to contact the IT department at your employer to check on installed profiles that may restrict use of certain features.
Cheers.
Hi @Chuck_3rd. This didn't work. When I go to my Airplay button up in the taskbar on my macbook pro it just says "AirPlay: Looking for TV" but never finds anything. When I click on "Open Display Preferences" it shows Airplay Display is "Off" but the drop down doesn't have another option.
My Ipad Air 4 is connected to the same wifi and has bluetooth turned on. Its also currently charging off the USB C cable to my Macbook Pro.
Its possible that my company has it locked, but I can't find anyone at my company that knows anything about this either so I wanted to exhaust all ideas and options to see if I can make this work. Would be great when I am traveling to still have a 2nd screen.
Thank you! Parker
Greetings panders01,
We understand that you are having some difficulty using AirPlay, and we'd like to help. Begin by following the guidance found here:
Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror your device’s screen
Take care.
