Can I restrict my child's contacts?
I am thinking of buying my son an iphone, but want to know if I will be able to restrict the contacts on his phone and only allow calls and texts from or to his contacts.

Settings > Screen Time > Communication Limits
During Screen Time you can set to Contacts Only
During Downtime you can set to Specific Contacts
You cans set to Manage their contacts remotely and you can turn off Contact Editing. Keeping contact editing on would allow them to enter an alternate phone number for an existing contact for someone you don't want them contacting. The settings apply to Phone, FaceTime, Messages, and iCloud contacts.
