IOS 14 does not allow to manually type the name of a BT device. Is there an option I am not seeing?
The BT speaker is in the ceiling and not easily accessible. This speaker is visible on other iPhones and iPads in the house but not showing on a new iPhone.

You need to refer to the owners manual of the speaker in your ceiling. For a Bluetooth device to be connected, it needs to be in pairing mode have or it won't be seen. The owners manual for the speaker must provide directions on how to pair with other devices.

Thank you for the quick response, however, part of the issue is the BT speaker is mounted in the ceiling and not easily accessible to turn on/off or put in discovery mode. My other iOS devices see the BT speaker and can connect. It is the new iphone specifically that isn’t seeing the device and I can not find a way to type the device name ... any other recommendations to try?
