How long does it take to set up apple Id?

Trying to setup the iphone 12pro and its taken more than 20+ minutes to set up the apple id ?

Please help, thanks.

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

Switch it off. I called Apple support and now it’s working beautifully.

Switch off.
switch it on, go through all the set up steps.
When asked to enter Apple ID, you’ll have an option to skip it and enter it later on.
do it and go ahead, setup your phone.
Go and setup your Apple ID at a later time.

It should take a few seconds. What steps did you follow, and where is it now in the process? Is this a new Apple ID, or are you using an existing Apple ID from another phone or other Apple devices?

While we can work on it in this user forum, as its a new phone the best approach is to contact Apple support using the Contact Support link at the top of this page.

I'm having the same issue. I'm switching from android to iphone 12 Pro. I tried to transfer the data initially using move to ios app and it gave me an error. Now i'm just trying to set up the iphone 12 Pro and when I entered my apple ID and password, it's been over 10 minutes so far.

I really want to say a HUGE HUGE thanks to you! Got IPhone 12 two days ago, at first I had troubles transferring the data from my android. After 4 attempts I managed to transfer them but the apple ID configuration wasn't working.

I contacted Apple assistance by chat but they said there's nothing they can do.

Then I read this thread, tried your solution and it worked!!!

New apple id.

Created an account to order the phone and used it to login, but now its stuck in a loading screen.
