Connecting AirPods to Amazon Echo Show

Not sure if this would be helpful but in addition to other posts I found describing how to connect AirPods to other Bluetooth devices, I found that I had to hold down the pairing button on the AirPod charging case while they were pairing with an Echo Show 5. So after selecting them from the list to pair, I had to continue holding down the button for them to connect.
