iPhone 12 shows up then disappears on itunes

I have a iPhone 12 pro and went to restore my backup from my old phone and when I plug my iPhone 12 it shows up for a min then disappears. So I can’t restore or backup my new phone on my computer. I’m using a mid 2010 MacBook running high Sierra. I’ve used different cords and the cords work fine with my iPhone 6s. When it quits showing up it still shows charging. And now I reset the privacy and when I go to trust computer the message won’t show up on my iphone

"iPhone 12 shows up then disappears on iTunes: I’ve tried all of that. It would show up and let me trust the device then it would disconnect within 30 seconds. The cord works with my 6s no problem. Now when I plug my 12 pro in the prompt for trusting the computer comes up, but now doesn’t on the phone even after resetting phone. So when it does connect it still disconnects within 1 min"

A Few Thoughts:

Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. updates), system configurations (i.e. for Ports) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM. Use a different external keyboard, if an available option. It may take up to 3 time to successfully perform the reset, so be certain you have the time to perform that.

  • Creating a New Administrator User:

See what happens when you perform this in a new user. If it is successful, then it is something misconfigured in your current user.

  • Try while Booted into Safe Mode:

Try nothing into Safe Mode [Hold Down: shift key upon boo]. While in safe mode, caches (loading items) are fixed, and login items do not open upon login.

I'm Also facing same issue using iPhone 12 on MBP 2010 with Mac OS X 10.13. but was able to manage to restore my data but not completely. I would have tried 50+ and tried to DFU mode to update and restore backup, iPhone got struck in DFC and got it resolved. However still facing issue on iPhone detecting on Itunes. Need solutions to fix.

Addition to add: When i connect iPhone to Itunes i don't get the trust this computer option. But if do get i don't get a chance to punch in passcode or allow on trusting this computer.
