Deleting the framework file did not work for me. Spoke to Apple, they sent me HP link that solved the problem. Seems like the drivers were just old. They needed to be erased properly by HP Uninstaller Program that is part of this link. Then install new drivers. Then add your printer after you do these previous steps. Back in action!

when I try to scan something, I get an alert which blocks my scanner...the alert says "HPDM.framework will damage your computer"
How did you do that??

HPDM is annoying me. can I bypass it?
Apple Support helped me solve the issue.
Thanks to all for your suggestions
I'm getting the error message again, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything bad other than pop up. I can still print without issue.
HDPM framework problem message
This helped and solved my problem I think. Thank you!
New iMac with old HP M401n printer Had to delete HPDM framework and continue with Matterhorn framework. Was able to print out from Quicken.
This did not work for me. The software installer did gave me an error message saying "software could not be installed". I still can't scan unless I do it from the keypad on the Printer.
