Understood.
Doing quite a bit of research, this is not an option, which is quite annoying for many. Do your Part: Inform Apple of this
- Use Settings - Not Control Center:
Toggling it off in Control Center (accessed when swiping finger up from the bottom) will reenable Wi-Fi in 24 hours later or will connect when an option. Turning it off in Settings will turn it off. So, first toggle Wi-Fi off and then on in control center. Then, enable Wi-Fi and then disable it in Settings.
Provide feedback on this to Apple. Apple will not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what suits their customers' needs and wants.
How to Provide Feedback:
- Go to: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
- Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
- Proceed from there as necessary
