i changed my password for my Wi-Fi but Apple settings will not let me change the password I tried all the suggestions and nothing helped

My Apple TV finally asked me for the password for my rotor so I was able to put it in and it worked
I did several times so now I’m going to wait until tomorrow and see what happens but I have ordered a new router so worse comes to worse I’ll put a new router thank you
