Every once in a while when I pick up my iPhone I end up making a gesture that results in the following behaviour (see screenshot). This doesn't seem useful or add any value. Am I missing something? Can I populate this with useful features? If not, can I disable it?

It allows people with small hands to use the phone one handed and reach the top icons.
That makes perfect sense. I prefer smaller phones and have big hands so the feature never made sense to me. And I figured out how to turn it off. Thanks.
