Wrong sized icons with obscured text on home screen iOS 14

I'm having an issue with my iPhone SE2's home screen. Frequently an app icon appears in a different size from the other icons. The icon is rectangular like it's "stretched" taller than the normal icons and the name of the app is obscured by the icon below it. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to what kind of app it happens to. It's very random. This is on a home screen without any widgets.

Is this a known bug? Any solutions?

Hello blueblazes,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand the apps on the Home Screen have different sizes on your iPhone. We'll be happy to help.

If you haven't tried yet, we recommend to restart your iPhone. This can help resolve unexpected behavior: Restart your iPhone

In addition, we suggest having the latest version of iOS 14.1 installed. This helps provide software improvements on your device: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Please let us know if that helps.

Kind regards.
