I've only had my iPhone 12 pro for 3 days, haven't left the house & yet I already have significant scratches on the 'super strong' ceramic glass front screen! Anyone else experienced this? #notveryhappy

I had my IPhone X for over two years, and for the majority of that time I didn’t have a case or a screen protector. After a couple of years I definitely had a couple of scratches, but nothing major; it was so impressive! I got my iPhone 12 on release day and it hasn’t had any more than normal wear and tear that my X would go through. No drops, no cohabitation in pockets with keys, nothing like that - but I already have several significant scratches; easily as bad as anything on my 2+ year old X. I’m definitely disappointed; I’ve ordered a screen protector, and I’ll probably be ordering a case as well, but certainly the difference in performance between the X and the 12 seems pretty stark to me.
I had the same experience within month of purchasing the phone. I was super disappointed for phone with such hefty price tag.
I'm not sure why people think expensive means indestructible.
Regardless, one would think that the price alone would make the addition of a $30 screen protector an obvious choice.
Neither cheap nor a failure.
In fact, most are thrilled with theirs, the clarity and color rendering are a big step forward.
The iPhone 6s had the old slightly more scratch resistant but much more fragile and subject to shattering front glass.
If you had a screen protector ready did you apply it?
if so, you wouldn’t have a mark on your screen now.
I bought the phone , had a screen protector and a case ready and waiting ….. I’ve had iPhones from 4s and never….. never …… marked a phone ……. So it’s wasn’t me being careless
Never had screen scratches on previous iPhones. I get one scratch per week with this one!!!
I would like to know why I’m getting such horrible responses…… I’m not a liar …. I bought the phone, put on a screen protector and a case……. And it is marked …. I AM NOT A LIAR
If you scratched the screen through a screen protector, obviously that would have done even more damage to the screen without one; screen protectors aren't impervious.
I DIDNT SCRATCH THE SCREEN …… I don’t know how or why it is scratched ….. I am very careful

Exact same thing happened to me. Had my iphone 7 plus for 4+ years without a scratch.
I have exactly the same problem and a brand-new iPhone 12 Pro max and I am extremely unhappy
People have gotten into auto accidents who never have before moments after purchasing an expensive new car.
It's why you should always apply a screen protector before even powering your new phone on.
You mistakenly said you opened a case with Samsung, but Samsungs scratch just as easily as do Google Pixels.
Samsungs in fact come with a plastic screen protector applied at the factory.
