iPhone 12 storage not displaying correctly faulty?

When I go into settings/general/iPhone storage and the the bar at the top appears with what storage you have available and the different colour sections appear with what is using up storage mine has changed to a completely grey block with nothing else appearing which is strange. Also at the bottom the other system data is now appearing blank 0 KB. I’ve restarted my phone, force reset it and also plugged into a computer and completed restored the phone, setup the phone as new again the storage appeared back to normal but has now reverted back to just a grey solid block and the other system data is blank again I’m confused is this a software issue or an issue with the phone itself, pics included.
