Is it possible to repair a cracked macbook pro screen bezel without changing the screen???

I have rather stupidly cracked the small black strip at the bottom of my MacBook Pro 16/2019 screen. Before you ask - i don’t have Apple Care. My question is whether anyone knows if this section is part of the actual screen or whether it can be replaced itself? - and if so any idea of cost to repair in the UK? Thank you.

I have replaced that bezel, but it is very dangerous to remove the old one. First it requires having the whole display assembly removed from the laptop to make it easier to work on. There are a lot of exposed very delicate cables beneath the bezel. The bezel is attached with adhesive and the bezel shatters very easily making it very difficult to remove. If any of these cables are damaged while removing the bezel then the LCD Panel will be damaged. If this happens the price for Apple to repair the laptop may increase b a lot. A Display replacement is already an expensive repair.

I do not recommend regular users to even open this laptop much less attempt to remove the bezel. Even an experienced technician may have problems removing the bezel. Unfortunately Apple doesn't perform this replacement because Apple doesn't sell the bezel as a replacement part and I don't ever seem them offering it due to how easy it is to damage the cables while removing the bezel.

Plus I've only ever seen used bezels for sale which have been removed from non-functional displays.
