Hi there,

when I try to copy pictures and movies from my iphone to a PC (using the WIndows Explorer for example) the copy crashes if a large movie file (~4GB) is copied. Even if I chose only one of those files, the copy stops and tells me the iPhone isn't available anymore. Only restarting the iPhone and the PC helps to be able to open the iPhone storage again. I've tried this with different PCs and different iPhones (Iphone 7 Plus, iPhone XS Max) Always the same. Ive also tried different ways to copy (Explorer, robocopy, Third-Party tools...) It isn_t possible to get those large files transfered from my iPhone to my PC!

What could be the Reasons and what can I do?

Best regards

I had this problem with every single .MOV file, so I figured I'd share what I did. I wound up using a wi-fi based file transfer app called PhotoSync. It transfers photos and videos over wi-fi between iOS, Android, Windows, and MacOS. The windows app isn't on the windows store anymore, so you will have to find it from a third party like I did today.

I'm always skeptical of people promoting software on these forums, and you should be as well.

I don't know what to say except that I'm not a schill. My dad has been using this since 2016 for iPhone to Mac transfer and I never let him convince me to use it. However, it really works.
