iOS Settings -- Apps not listed
Using settings to see what privileges an App has is not new to iOS 14, what is new is that Apps seem to be 'reset' and must ask to have their privileges restored, presumably to comply with the new Privacy policies. For instance, if you run the AirPort Utility for the first time under iOS 14 it asks you to grant access to the Local Network, if you say yes and then look in settings under the AirPort Utility you then see the "Local Network" switch "On". I should point out that this is not unique to iOS and is also true for iPadOS (I had to put this somewhere).
Some Apps though, ask you for permission and seem to run fine, but are not listed under settings. For example I have an App "Audirvana Remote", that allows me to control the Audirvana Music Server on my Mac from my iPhone or iPad. This App when installed and run for the first time asks you for network permission, and then searches the network for an Audirvana server, if it finds one it allows you control, this all works fine.
What I don't understand is why some Apps (like Audirvana Remote) aren't listed under settings for me to see what permissions have been granted, and to alter them if I see fit?
I'm asking this here as it seems the OS should be keeping track of these things and should allow me to see what permissions have been given, but I will probably also ask in the Audirvana forum -- though as I said this is just an example -- other Apps act the same way (there seems to be no rhyme or reason why some Apps are listed and some aren't).
Thanks for your help
