How to disable charging sound on Macbook air

  • Whenever I charge my mac, there is a charging sound and I want to disable, however I don't know how and it didn't work. I tried this code or something used for terminal but did not work. The code is (defaults write com.apple.PowerChime ChimeOnAllHardware -bool true; open /System/Library/CoreServices/PowerChime.app &)
  • If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please leave answers. Thank you 😊

what year and osx are we using on our MacBook Air?

quite honestly i never heard of a charging sound, (that would be very annoying)

but i am experienced only up to Mojave OSX as that is what my MacBook air can use.

i would look through "sounds" on the system preferences section of your MacBook

there could be an easier function to turn that off rather than a terminal code.
