I see an Application called "souter". Does anyone know if I can or should delete this? I have no clue what it is.

A search on the Internet turned up one match to souter and Macs that may have anything to do with malware (I presume that's why you're asking).
It gets installed along with adware, such as from a fake message you need to install a Flash update. If this is what you did, download and run the free version of MalwareBytes for Mac. It may be able to find all of the pieces the adware installed and remove them. Once done using the app, it's easily uninstalled from its own menu option.
I honestly know know where it came from and I have no clue if it's malware or adware. I will, however, check out the suggested MalwareBytes for Mac. Thank u.
