No pop up to accept for Airdrop

Hi

I recently updated my iPhone 11 to iOS 14 and since then I’ve got an issue with receiving airdrop on my device. If someone tries to send me a photo via airdrop, my phone bleeps to alert me, but there is no pop up to either accept/decline. The only way it then works is to restart my phone, which works for a time then back to square one. I never had this issue with iOS 13.

This must be an issue with iOS 14, as have just done a test with my husband’s iPhone 11 (iOS 14) and his iPad (iOS 13) and his phone did the same as mine, but his iPad had the pop up box.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this has not resolved the issue. My airdrop settings are fine, as when I restart my phone, airdrop works, however this is only a temporary resolution and I keep having to restart my phone to receive items through airdrop. I am, however, able to send via airdrop.

The issue is with the iOS 14 update, as I stated previously, the issue is happening on two different iPhones both running iOS 14, but not on devices running iOS 13.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds as though you're having issues accepting AirDrops from contacts since updating your iPhone. We recommend double checking to make sure your settings are correct and it's not interfering with you being able to receive this AirDrops.
