Is it ok to put credit card between iPhone 12 and it's case if I don't plan on using wireless charging?

I plan to buy an iPhone 12 and a third-party regular case for it. I am not planning to wirelessly charge the phone. Is it ok to keep credit/other cards inside the case? Will the magnets in the phone destroy the credit card strip?

  1. Before you place your iPhone on your MagSafe Charger, make sure that no objects (like credit cards, hotel key cards, or transit cards) or debris are between them. If your device has a metal case or if it's very thick, remove it. Also remove iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe. If you have a MagSafe case, you can leave it in place.

Apple’s only directive is regarding charging.

In the product information in the store, it specifically states the wallet is shielded to protect the cards.
