Set up different medical ids on devices using same Apple ID

My family shared a single Apple ID but when trying to setup different medical ids on different devices it overrides the medical is of my wife’s phone when I update on my phone or vice versa. How do I correct so we can have separate health app/ medical is info without overriding the other person’s account

We understand that your family shares a single Apple ID and when trying to set up different medical IDs on different devices, the existing ID is overwritten on other devices. This is one of the issues when multiple people share a single Apple ID and one reason it is recommended for each person to have their own Apple ID.


The best solution is for either you or your wife to create a new Apple ID. See the following article for how to do this:
