iPhone 8 frozen

I think my phone was trying to update to the 14.1, now of only shows a black screen and the Apple logo. It will not turn off to force a reboot. Suggestions?

This has happened to me, I spent hours communicating with Apple to try and reboot the phone, had no joy. Phone got hot and is fried all I get now is the logo screen and the low battery screen, phone won’t charge or connect to pc. Apple want £300 of me upfront to fix it!
