Iphone backup to Itunes

My IMac won't recognize my iphone started Itunes to backup my phone but it does not show up.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

iPhone 13 backup to MacOS 10.13 I have an iPhone 13 running iOS 15.6.1. My iMac (27" late 2012) is still on MacOS 10.13.6. When I plug the iPhone in, the iMac does not seem to recognize it. It does not show up in iTunes, and of course 10.13 is prior to the move of the iPhone backups to Finder. How can I back my iPhone up?

cant backup iPhone 11 Past: connect iPhone to iMac, invoke iTunes, and synching and backup would proceed. (I prefer to backup the iPhone to my iMac). Now: nothing happens, the iTunes does not show the phone. Iphone 11 is 14.2 "up to date". Imac is Mojave, 10.14.6 also up to date. How can I get the backup to happen? Synching is OK.

Your computer does not have iTunes.

Look in the Finder sidebar for your iPhone.
