Iphone backup to Itunes

My IMac won't recognize my iphone started Itunes to backup my phone but it does not show up.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

Your computer does not have iTunes.

Look in the Finder sidebar for your iPhone.

iPhone 13 backup to MacOS 10.13 I have an iPhone 13 running iOS 15.6.1. My iMac (27" late 2012) is still on MacOS 10.13.6. When I plug the iPhone in, the iMac does not seem to recognize it. cant backup iPhone 11 Past: connect iPhone to iMac, invoke iTunes, and synching and backup would proceed. (I prefer to backup the iPhone to my iMac). Now: nothing happens, the iTunes does not show the phone. Iphone 11 is 14.2 "up to date". Imac is Mojave, 10.14.6 also up to date. How can I get the backup to happen? Synching is OK.
