How to bypass two-factor authentication?

After I have logged in once, I want to be able to open my iPhone and iPad without always being required to enter my password. How do I do that?

The passcode to unlock your phone/iPad has nothing to do with 2FA.

Directions for turning off passcode:

  1. From a Home screen on your iPhone, navigate: Settings  > Face ID & Passcode.
  2. Enter your passcode then tap Turn Passcode Off
  3. When the passcode is turned off, Face ID is disabled.
  4. Enter your passcode to confirm.
  5. If prompted, enter the Apple ID Password then tap Turn off.

Hi gdkirk,

We appreciate you reaching out to us about your Apple ID on your iPhone and iPad. Rest assured that we’ll do our best to assist you.

We recommend updating your devices if you haven’t. While it isn't inherently assured that an update will resolve the issue, updating to the latest version of iOS can help isolate potential software issues. You can use the articles below to guide you on how to secure a backup and update the devices.

Also, have you had the chance to check if your Apple ID account details are up to date?

If the issue persists, let us know if you experience the issue when using a certain Wi-Fi network or when using a VPN.

Cheers!
