How to remove a legacy extension

I had this vpn for a company I was working with that I later removed. Now I get a prompt that the legacy extension will not be supported in future mac OS. I don't use the software anymore and want to just find and remove the extension.

Found what I was looking for in /Library/Extensions. For some reason the uninstaller left behind

I really appreciate the guidance to help find and remove this. That app was updated to be fully dynamic in a browser session so the need for the locally installed app went away. It's frustrating when this stuff gets left behind.

Kernel extensions are installed to /Library/Extensions

Of those you find in this folder, the following are installed by the OS. Any others would have been added by third party software you installed.

ACS6x.kext

ArcMSR.kext

ATTOCelerityFC8.kext

ATTOExpressSASHBA2.kext

ATTOExpressSASRAID2.kext

CalDigitHDProDrv.kext

HighPointIOP.kext

HighPointRR.kext

PromiseSTEX.kext

SoftRAID.kext

This doesn't mean you should automatically disable all that don't match this list. There may be other extensions for third party software you use that need the extension(s) they installed. You'll have to try and figure out which one or more belonged specifically to the VPN software.

Yes, there too! No idea why Apple allows developers to do that. etresoft explained in another topic how it's done.

I had tested VirtualBox and it put two extensions in the System folder. The only way to get rid of them (since their own uninstaller won't), is to boot to another Catalina volume and delete them from what is then the non-startup drive.
