Since the last update my touch freezes frequently on my iPad. Is there a fix for it?

I did the update and now my touch capacity is wonky and doesn’t always work. I closed down my iPad and still it’s laggy and wonky, freezing all the time. Is there a fix? I have an iPad Pro, completed the most recent upgrade and now the touch capacity is wonky. It only works intermittently. It was difficult to type this and mak a full sentence since letters go missing.
