iPhone XS bottom speaker magical issue.

So, I dropped my iPhone once, thankfully it was wearing a case so no physical damage happened but the bottom loud speaker stopped working.

I tried all the fixes advised on the community & then went to the authorised service centre here in India.

They said theres no official fix for this & I’ll have to turn my handset in & pay 500$ to get a new(refurbished) one.

I lived in agony for a month until I dropped my phone again & voila, upon reboot the speaker started working & I thanked god of apples for it.

But the joy was short lived, a week later an accidental slip of phone while I got up from my chair, the phone slipped & fell again.

Yes, the speaker stopped working, again.

I noticed a pattern in this. When the phone fell on the back, the speaker stops working & when it falls on the screen, it starts working.

I finally managed to figure out what how to make the speaker work.

But this trick didn’t last. It happened twice then never again.

I know the speaker works & it feels like a loose connection.

so now whenever i reboot the device, the speaker makes a sound & when I play music or ringtone, the bottom speaker works for a second & then stops.

I have heard that the speaker can be replaced, though unofficially in around 100$ but won’t guarantee the water resistant capabilities after repair.

The phone is out of warranty & I am out of options.

How can Apple help here?

iPhone XS, iOS 14
