Go to Settings >
Camera Settings > Camera Format > Change active setting to Most Compatible not High Efficiency . The pixilation disappeared on enlargement .
Is it all the camera’s or just the main? Either way get it replaced!

I am having the same issue as well. After googling it there seems to be a LOT of people with the same issue. Mine won’t focus when taking pictures up close. I spoke with support and they ran a diagnostic check. Said everything was fine. They said I could send it in for a tech to look at it. I said no, because I have read that numerous people did that and it was the same issue after getting it back. Some even got new phones to replace it and had the exact issue with a new phone. I’ve read here in the support community some people are saying it’s possibly a software issue. I’m not sure. I’m frustrated to say the least that Apple isn’t addressing this
Faulty - return it.
I hope it helps it works on mine

Hi Judy,
I have the same problem. The wide camera and tele photo camera work just fine. It's just the main camera that is out of focus.
and the weird thing is it comes and goes. one minute its fine the other its blurry again.
so what can we do?! I was looking forward to getting rid of all my cameras and equipment when I bought the iphone 12 pro but I’m not impressed by the picture quality at all. My pictures are blurry even when I’m using a tripod.
Exactly!!! The pictures are not focused enough. I was expecting the camera to wow me like the pics they show at the Apple events. I know they have pros taking the pics and editing them but still, you know?
I am having this same issue. It’s as though the camera isn’t what it should be. Almost as if there is a glare. I just compared my sons iPhone XR are with my iPhone 12 pro and his photos are much more cleaner than the 12 pro. Starting to sound like Apple may have a Camera issue going on with several other iPhones.
Hey MrJrHdez what happened to your mobile, did you raise it with apple support? I got my 12 pro last week and i am having same issue. When i click photo and zoom it becomes pixelated and looks creepy. I have discussed with apple support team they did diagnose and also asked to restore through itunes.
I have done everything but still they are not convinced if that is the issue or i do not know how to click pictures.
I went to the Apple store and got my phone replaced. They did replace it with a new phone, and It still doesn’t take awesome pictures. I don’t ever remember my other phone taking them so poorly. Outside the pictures are crisp and good but the indoor photos really do suck.
This is my exact situation. I upgraded from X in order to take better photos of my toddler. Every image looks like your example no matter how much light I turn on or still I am. I noticed the camera is very slow and gets hot. I bought two iPhone 12pro at once and my husband’s seems to be be fine. I am in the middle of an exchange within my 14days purchase. Let’s hope it’s just a hardware issue.
Here is a comparison between my wife's iPhone 12 Mini and my iPhone 12 Pro, same exact camera settings under settings.
Top image 12 pro 6mm
Bottom Mini 4.2 mm
White balance is different and much more chromatic aberration noticeable on 12 Pro in trees, more noticeable in other images.
Exactly. My daughter has the 11 and I have the 12... side by side you can see the photos on the 11 are far more detailed & crisp... I have professional photographers in my family and have been around it my entire life, I know this isn’t right... it’s definitely a step backwards for a feature that supposed to be an improvement... they failed but on this one. Ive done Factory resets. Still crappy photos.
My wife has a samsung galaxy 10. I finally upgraded to the iphone 12 pro and thought now I would have a better camera. Low light pics are definitely better, but on a side by side comparison of a daylight shot, when I zoom in, it's not even close. The Samsung is way sharper. The iphone does not focus cleanly. I love my iphone 12, but this was disappointing. I'm hoping it's a software thing and apple fixes it soon.
