How do you use Voice Control when playing videos? It seems to stop listening.

When watching Netflix or Youtube, Voice Control stops listening, which defeats the whole purpose of using it. Please let me know if there is a way to keep using Voice Control whilst listening to videos.

Hi

This issue was raised in this post:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251959769

There are some suggestions there that might be worth trying.

It seems that this is device related i.e. it works on later devices, and also related to the volume level.

Which model iPad are you using?

I agree that the solutions are workarounds and there should be a better and more sustainable way of controlling videos. Everyone deserves their devices to provide a good user experience.

The solution probably needs to be done by Apple and/or the app developers. I have raised this with Apple, but if you want to add you voice, email the accessibility help desk at accessibility@apple.com

The more people who raise this issue just might help move a solution closer.
