I am unable to access older photos in my library when trying to attach them to Facebook posts. They are not visible. How can I adjust the settings so that older photos are visible and useable? Is there a patch that will be needed?

Could it be, that iCloud Photos is enabled on your Mac? If you are using iCloud Photos and Optimise Mac Storage, older photos, you have not used in a long time may be removed from your Mac and replaced by optimised, smaller versions. In that case you have to view the photos in Photos enlarged to force a download from iCloud, before the photos will appear in the Media Browser and you can upload them to Facebook.
