Unable to update my Apple Watch 3 to watchOS7.0.3

Hello,

After updating my iPhone11 to iOS14.1 it suggested me to update my Apple Watch Series 3 to 7.0.3 (from watchOS6).

I've started the process but at the end (on verifying step) I got a message 'Unable to Verify Update' because i'm not connected to the internet.

I double-checked all possible problems, followed instructions from:

But still has the issue. Sometimes I see the message on the start `unable to check for update` but anyway I can't update my Apple Watch and connect to my iPhone at all. And for sure I checked my internet connection - all it ok with it.

When I choose updating later it just unpair my watches all the time.

Could you please help me with this problem? It's impossible to use my apple watch 3 OS6 with iOS14 at all.

We understand you are having an issue with updating your Apple Watch and we're happy to help. First, were you able to free up storage space on your watch as one of the steps in the article you provided? If so, how much available storage does it show in Settings > General > About, next to available? Also, we have released a new version of the software for the iPhone, which is 14.2 and that should in fact improve the performance of the device. Please make sure to back up the device first before completing the update. This article here: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch will walk you through the steps of backing up and updating. Once the update has been completed, please attempt the update on the Apple Watch again.

I had the same problem. I had to uninstall all the apps on my Apple 3 except for the native ones until I had 2.6GB of memory remaining. Note I had nothing on the device other than breathe and walkie-talkie because of all the issues I have been having with my watch and iphone 7. Once i did that and shut both phone and watch off 3x, it worked. However, we should not have to do this everytime. I hope it worked for you

We apologize for the confusion, but are you stating you have updated the watch to 7.1 or are you stating it is showing on the watch that particular update is available?

Hi karina184,

My current status:

iPhone11 with iOS14.2.

AW3 with watchOS6 on theit factory settings.

When I'm trying to pair them I see the message that update for AW is available.

By clicking on "update" I see either "unable to check update" or see watchOS 7.1 software update screen on my phone but at the verifying process message 'Unable to Verify Update' is displayed. And no problems with internet connetion.

On clicking 'skip updating and exit setup` button my iphone unpair watch

And as I said I've tryied all possible solutions.

And the only thing that I have so far - unpaired AW3 (watchOS6) without any ability to pair with my iPhone11 and update.
