iMovie Background Music

I am wondering about background music and fair use. I have students making video tutorials, and using iMovie background music. I upload the videos to Vimeo to share via a URL. Are we infringing on copyright? Thank you!

iMovie and copyrighted music I’m making a photo slideshow in iMovie for 14 children for middle school graduation. While the process of the photos itself is going well, the music is not. All the music I have chosen from my Apple Music subscription, is “protected and unavailable. “. I’ve taken more time trying to find current music with still getting the same message once in iMovie. While this is for personal use, I do understand that copyrighted music cannot be used, and I cannot control if parents share the slideshow afterwards. However, it doesnt make a whole lot of sense since I could just make a playlist and play it separately along with the iMovie. (Which yes I know defeats the purpose of iMovie) Is there a way of determining in ITunes music which songs are copyrighted before wasting any more time downloading?

GarageBand&Copyright Strike..... There are many pre made tunings on GarageBand, so if two people use the same music in their videos on YouTube, so can the other person send a copyright strike on me through YouTube for using the music that we both took out from GarageBand?

Are you using the sound effects and jingles etc. that come with iMovie?

If so, they are copyright free.

Just a word of warning. Not everyone knows they are copyright free and occasionally some ignorant person (or algorithm) on YouTube has been known to get argumentative!😳
