Double Letter Typing on Macbook Pro 2015

For the past week my keyboard has been behaving strangely where occasionally it will duplicate what I typed as if it received the input twice for example I will type "facecam" and it will type out "facfacecam". I have already turned down my key repeat to "off" and yet it is still happening. Does my Macbook qualify for a free keyboard replacement or should I just attempt to clean it and live with the issue as it only happens occasionally. Thanks in advance.
