downloaded SoundCloud MP3 won't upload to Cloud Music Library.

I downloaded a DJ mix from SoundCloud (that was free to download). The MP3 was automatically added to my MBA Music library (but didn't convert to AAC). The track will not upload to Apple Music. Yes, it's over 200 MB, but that is in MP3. I am unable to convert to AAC - right clicking does show an option to convert. Preferences has previously been set to auto-convert to AAC, but it won't do it for this mix. How can I get the mix into my library and onto my phone to play offline? Why wouldn't it convert to AAC?

The clumsy work-around is I can find the file in my downloads folder, and I can play it from my Files app on my phone. Would much prefer to have it with the rest of my music in the Music app.

Hi,

Importing mp3 does not automatically convert track to aac. The settings only apply to CDs that are ripped.

As The track is over 200mb, it will not be added to iCloud music library. You could try converting to a lower bit rate so that the file is less than 200mb.
