How can I add m4b audio files to Music?

So just got a new Air and trying to get accustomed to the replacement for iTunes - the thing I can't figure out is how to add m4b files to Music. Double clicking, dragging, or using the Open With options doesn't take.

So rather than keep the audio in one place, Apple has decided to make people swap between applications depending on the file format? iTunes had its flaws, but at least everything was available there.
