iOS prompt won’t go away

I always participate in the beta of iOS. I did with 14. But when the regular version was released I changed it out to that. I have even did the newest updates Apple has released. Am currently on 14.2. I had another app not work the other day but closing it out didn’t help. So, I turned my iPhone on and then turned it off. I now get the update to IOS prompts every time I unlock my phone. I have troubleshooted as to make sure the beta is not in my phone and it isn’t. When I check the update. It tells me, I am up to date with 14.2. Even connected it to my MacBook and iTunes and again it says it’s up to date. Has anyone else come across this issue. How do I resolve it? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You are still running a beta version of iOS. 14.2 has not been released yet.

Deleting the beta profile just means you won't get beta updates. It doesn't mean that your phone is downgraded.

You're getting that message because that version of iOS expired and it is trying to prompt you to load the next beta, but because you deleted the profile it won't download for you.

To get out of the beta program follow the directions: https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/restore#ios

Or wait until 14.2 is actually released. It might update then.
