FCP Export 48 hour file to Compressor

Hi everyone,

I have a super long movie that is actually over 24 hours long (75.5 hours)!

Problem is that the file exports fine...but only goes to 3 hours. I have tried a number of export settings and options exporting at 540, 720, 1080 all work but cut the movie short. I have noticed on the Compressor screen that there appears to be a grey "Marker" that would explain this but I cannot see how to change that (If it is the cause?).

Same problem occurs if I export direct to Vimeo and skip compressor. Vimeo recieves the file fine but only up to 3 hours 20.

I have cleared all background files, exported while no other tasks are active, and there is plenty of room for the file.

Any suggestions?

Running MacOS mojave 10.14.6 (18G6032) 2013 Imac

Switch the FCP timeline to display frames. There’s a problem frame somewhere close to the 12 hour mark. You might have to cut something out, or replace a shot.

The "Marker" appears in the compressor window.

Just above the time stamp

You can move this manually.

There is nothing on my timeline to mark the 3 hour point? no markers or special edits...nothing.

The export has not completed successfully yet (even with moving this marker in compressor).

Any suggestions?

OK! FCP timeline displaying frames (AND COMPRESSOR also displaying frames), files with problems have been removed/edited and replaced and all sent to compressor...now processing! let's see how it goes!!!

and yes...the timeline does re-set but would that be the problem?

Yes. That’s not possible for Timecode.

Ok, it failed again. error from compressor is: RenderFrameAt returned: 4 for absolute frame: 1289301

Frame Rate is 30

The clips that make up the file are either 1080 or 720.

What gray market do you mean? If you go to three hours 25 in the project what is happening there?

I don’t think you can go over 24 hours or the timeline would reset.
