Websites open in the wrong language

Hello everyone,

I first created my apple account long ago in Russia. Since then, I have changed my location to the US and language to English. But my new MacBook that has never been outside the US keeps open webpages (like Coursera etc) in Russian. It's not the MacBook's problem, I believe. The system language here is set to English. Is it possible that my apple account still has this information on the preferred language sometime before was different and insists on using it? How do I change it?

Thank you for any help.

Made me think it's a Chrome specific behavior. Solved by going to: Chrome -> Settings -> Appearance -> Advanced -> Languages. Here I found Russian as the top one on the "Order languages based on your preference" list.

Thank you, everyone! Problem solved.
