I want to get an Apple Pencil to use with my iPad 8th Gen but the iPad doesn’t have the magnet on the side. How can I charge the Pencil? I see that the 1st gen Apple Pencil had a lightning connector but the 2nd gen does not.

The Apple Pencil 2nd Gen is not compatible with the iPad 8th Gen. You will not be able to use it, let alone charge it. This is the compatibility list for the 2nd Gen Pencil.
