Will iOS 14.2 fix battery drain issue of iphone11?

Update: tried talking (twice) to support, they claim there is no software issue and will not escalate. Without escalation their developers will not even be made aware of problem.

Here, the Same problem. I want to go back to iOS 13.3. Battery were great and photo quality too. Now is a mess, photos are noisy and battery duration is a half and I am on 14.2 and the two problems remains.

My iphone 11 pro is getting worse after updated to ios 14.2~! The battery drain is so obvious! I’m so disappointed. I prefer the previous ios version. I hope that apple will fix this problem on the next ios.

Thank you for letting me know this issue exists across the board with other devices AND for giving us iPhone 11 suffers ammunition. I’ve recently found out that Apple Support Agents, IE: Genius Bar Tech’s are very helpful the first time but are not after that. The standard response to battery draining instead of charging or draining rapidly IS you need your battery tested by apple OR you need to replace your battery because it’s bad. Oh, my favorite is, ‘No one else is having this problem. It’s just you.’ Yes, it will be great iIF Apple would just fix this problem,

My battery life has been terrible since the 14.2 update. For example, before I went to sleep it was on 48% I woke up to 9% left. App’s & safari windows were all closed down. This is terrible. Apple need to fix this ASAP.

My iPhone 8 had a fantastic battery & I had no issues until last week when the software updated.

I actually turned off all the widgets thinking this would help, but I believe it has not.

Glad to see it’s not just me. My iPhone 8 would last all day and still have plenty of power so I didn’t charge until the next morning. Now after the 14.2 update, I’m having to charge twice or three times a day. Why is this a continuing problem with ALL iPhones and updates? You’d think they’d figure this one out by now. Might be time to switch to android.

I bought iPhone 11 just a month ago. Now the battery health is 97%. I don’t use the mobile much. Hardly an hour or two . Worst experience with iPhone 11. Too bad regarding apple’s quality on its device.

It doesn’t make sense what you are saying, no lphone will drop 3% capacity unless you used it for 6 months solid and abused it’s battery on daily basis. Unless you have a faulty battery which is unusual

How could iOS 14.2 make a Mac hot? It has nothing to do with your Mac.

No problems here with iOS 14.2.

When the software causes the battery to over perform, yes, it will cause the battery to over heat, as batteries do a little something called producing energy....wow. How about you put your hand on any laptop genius, feel the warmth??? This is the second update people are reporting battery issues, it's not effecting everyone. Could you clarify how, a 6 month old iPhone battery, can suffer daily abuse to the point that it causes permanent battery degradation. Let me clarify, what constitutes iPhone and battery abuse. Using the iPhone for too many consecutive hours? Days? I am interested in knowing what NOT to do TO my iPhone. Thank you!

My iPhone 7+ battery was fine with iOS 10. It lasted all day until bedtime. Now with iOS 13, I must charge 3x per day or more. Right now it’s 2pm and I’m attached to a charging cable. WHAT “MOBILE PHONE”??? 🤬 Forget about starting a VLOG recording with 30%. It dies quickly right in the middle!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Same issue. Used the phone less than a year. Maximum capacity even dropped within two weeks from 93% to 88%.

Apple support agent told me that it is normal even though my other iPhone 8 Plus „only“ dropped to 86% within 17 months.

Requested to escalate the issue but never received any feedback.

You think that's poor service? Try to go to an Apple Store to buy an iPhone 12 Pro Max 512 and see how badly you get treated. I walked way WITH MY MONEY which is going to STAY in my bank account!!
