Ever since the last iOS update I’ve lost the ability to send pictures to Android users. MMS is enabled, I’ve tried resetting network settings, and with iMessage turned off and on with nothing working. Had anyone else experienced this recently?

Apple engineers gave me a reply back finally and told me they suggest that I back up my iCloud and then I go into my settings - general - reset - erase all content and settings.
it worked, but I’m ****** I had to do that because of all of the unfavorable hoops Apple put me though during this process.
at first the man denied it’s an apple problem, “99% of the time it’s the carrier”.
and then I had to reach back out to them after they said they would call me.. which I didn’t receive, and now I have to redownload all of my apps again and set up my phone like I just spent $1000 bucks on a new phone.
No, that was not the problem. See above complaints, but image size had nothing to do with it. May be related to several issues including both specific carriers and specific upgrades or lack thereof, by my reading and my experience.
Same issue for me. My iPhone X had no issues and yet my 12 will not send pics to non iPhone users. I’ve tried every ‘fix’ available and yet no joy. Apple needs to solve this extremely frustrating problem
I agree! It is not size or network issues, AT&T has escalated this to the top level and they cannot figure out. I have friends and family with iPhones on AT&T and the do not have this problem. I was told this could be a problem with my Apple profile. How do I fix that?
I’m with you all. I have tried everything and have been on the phone with AT&T. It seems to send a pic in the early morning hours but fails as the day goes on. Messages go thru but the pics just can’t get that last little push
And somewhere around a billion iPhone users do not have the problem, because if even a small percentage of them did the forum would be overwhelmed with posts. MetroPCS is not a carrier, BTW, it is a reseller of other networks, T-Mobile specifically.
And a quick google search will show you that this is a pretty big issue for many users with multiple articles on possible fixes created and numerous different forum discussions but keep dismissing and defending apples complete lack of response to remedy it since you were lucky enough not to be affected
Why are you refusing to see the part of my comment that I have full cellular service bars and another iPhone user on the same account in the same building who didn’t upgrade not having problems? Read the whole thing.
Ive tried switching to airplane mode and back, resetting network settings, resetting phone settings, changing every possible messaging setting, every single trouble shooting option given on this thread. Sometimes it seems to work to get one message through and then defaults back to the same exact issue
Well I refuse to believe it’s the phone as you so apply describe. I had an Apple 6X up till about two months ago. I upgraded to a 12 Pro. I had the issue with both phones . Went to the Apple store twice ( they gave me a new Sum card) all to no avail. Been on the phone with Apple for hours. No luck.
My iPhone (XR) and my husband's iPhone (12) won't send pictures to an Android phone. MMS is enabled, I've reset network settings, and have tried to send using wifi and with cell service only, however; nothing is working. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
My mom is having the same issue on her iPhone XR since updating to iOS14.6. I used to work in a phone store and have tried everything under all of their help topics listed and linked from the ones listed as well as some of the hacks others have listed here and nothing is working.
Also, my mom used to be able to send sms messages to her dad’s email address, but that stopped working back in December. She can receive them from his email, but not reply back.
It looks like some people have been dealing with this for 7 months now! I’m hoping to get a solution or response faster than that from Apple!
Considering Apple clearly hasn’t fixed this issue and doesn’t feel the need to actually respond anymore or give readers any helpful information, this may have to be the only solution, other than saving the money you spent on the printer to put toward a new fancy Samsung instead!
Yeah, I just downloaded and installed the new update you’re talking about on my iPhone 12. The problem persists. Weirdest thing is, my friends using Android can send/receive pictures and videos from plenty of their other contacts using iPhones…this is so frustrating!
It didn’t matter what they happened after. Many of them happened unassociated with an update, so most likely it was coincidental if it happened after an update. The No Service was caused by a broken wire to the cellular antenna. Would you please explain how a software update caused a wire to break?
Seriously?? I just did the Apple update 14.8 and guess what… I have been sending to Androids several times day and night for the last week WITH NO ISSUES 1bar or all, wifi or cellular IT ALWAYS GOES THROUGH!!
This has been a problem for me at least since getting the iPhone 12 in October 2020. Even GIFs from the iMessage library don't go through to Android. I asked my friend if she has the latest software update on her end and she confirmed as much. However, she doesn't seem to have a problem sending anything from her android to me.
