iTunes Extras Disappeared

Purchased digital copies of some movies are suddenly missing their iTunes Extras. The movies are HD but there are no extras. Why is that?

Thanks for following up. You mentioned your iTunes version; it sounds like you're running the latest iTunes for Windows? If not, Update to the latest version of iTunes. If that doesn't help or if you are already updated, based on what's happening, we recommend getting in touch with Apple directly to look into this further: Contact Apple Support

It looks like some of movies still have extras on the ipod but those same movies don't have extras on iTunes itself. I'm wondering if I need to downgrade the version of iTunes I have. It must be an issue with the most recent update. I'll try that. Captain America still doesn't have Extras even on the iPod. Did they get removed from iTunes? I see it's still available with extras in the store.

It looks like it's not a version issue. Could there have been a change with the agreement Movies Anywhere has with iTunes? When I used to sync movies from MA, they'd upgrade to HD with Extras over in iTunes. Is that not the case anymore?

Unfortunately that did not help. The movies that are affected all have streaming Extras. For example, I originally had Captain America: The First Avenger as an HD digital copy purchase with no Extras. But, once I synced Movies Anywhere to iTunes, that movie was upgraded to include iTunes Extras. Now the movie has reverted back to HD only with no extras, and I'm still synced to Movies Anywhere.

Hello jarman89,

We appreciate the reply. If you don't see the iTunes Extras on your PC, you might double-check a different device to narrow this down. If you have another device available that uses the same iTunes account, like an iPad, iPhone or a Mac, check there; are you able to find and play those extras?
