Exchange Mail account provider username and password cannot be verified

I tried to add my Exchange Account so that I can open my e-mail using the default Mail app installed on my Mac. The problem is that every time I open Mail app a pop up appears which says " Enter password required " in internet accounts, and after I insert username and password is says every time "unable to verify account name and password". Does anyone know what's the problem?
