Clean cache calendar

Hello to everybody;

I need to add a lot of appointment on the calendar, and I would like to clear the cache in order not to be asked every time to use previous appointment details, but I'm not able to do it;

(I'm using macOS Catalina 10.15.7 - but I had the same issue with the previous versions)

Do you have an idea ?

Thx

Hey again! I’ve seen this setting before, just never used it, this maybe a fix:

Open Calendar > Preferences > Advanced > Remove All Recents And Attendees.

I believe this should clear those auto fill suggestions, I’m not too sure if this setting will sync to your other devices or not, but seems would be specific to that device, giving you more control over each device.

Hope that helps! I’d think that setting is kind of like Mail > Window > Previous Recipients, to remove suggestions in the Mail app when typing a recipient etc.

All the best, let me know how it goes!

Hi K1200R!

Have you by chance, removed the account from System Preferences > Internet Accounts, restarted your Mac and added it again?

If so, and it didn’t help, you can clear some Calendar Cache and other related info related to your report, however cache may not be the only factor.

Does the same on your other devices using the same account?

If not, if you launch Calendar while holding the Shift key, does the same happen?

Last, but not least, does the same happen on another Calendar? (If you’re able to test so).

The architecture has changed a bit in the new OS, so some steps done from previous OS’ may not work.

let me/us know and I’ll do what I can to help out!

Hi, thanks for the answer

Every time I'm trying to add a new appointment and I start to insert e.g. the name or the location, Calendar propose me the same details of old appointments; this is happening with all calendar and with different devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac..).

I wonder if there is some possibilities to get rid of it, as is it for example on mail: you're stating to write an address for the receiver, Mail app suggest some different ones, if you want to get rid of one of them you choose it and then you can delete it from the suggestions .

Thx

Hey again!

See if this article may provide the solution, it shows settings I haven’t even thought of in years, (Its a little dated as it mentions El Capitan). But it does show user friendly pictures and graphics:

Here’s another related one:

Hope those can help.
