WindowServer 100%+ CPU usage Updated to BigSur 11.5.1 and WindowServer is bogging my computer down. I usually monitor the processes on the machine pretty carefully and I have never seen WindowServer stay this high this consistently. Any idea about why this is happening?

window server high cpu on Monterrey Hi, All every since latest upgrade to Monterrey (on 12.1) I have been seeing this windows server issue that many have reporterd over time and CPU is going mad and fan when literally barely anything running. I have took all the advice on most threads, virus checked, removed old software no longer in use, changed display settings etc and none of it works and still it goes on. Safari starting literally makes it worse, so much so had to switch to FF and even then barely improved matters. Can somneone please help as this is driving me mad !! Cheers, Ian

Serious CPU slowdown problem which crashes Protools If any of you can help me interpret my Etrecheck results and maybe see if you can help find what the culprit is which causes my Protools DAW to crash from low CPU power. I will be forever grateful.

i saw two huge red flags in "major issues":

in "minor issues" you have a complete mess going on. i would recommend you download malwarebytes for mac and then run it. you may need to run more than one scan. after that, restart your mac and then run etrecheck again so we can have another look.

keep this for when you're done: uninstall malwarebytes for mac

Malwarebytes didn't find anything, even after multiple scans.
