No search results from OneDrive on iPad

I have selected all the relevant Search settings for MS OneDrive, but get no results when searching for e.g. documents stored in OneDrive (iPadOS 14.1). Do I need to rebuild the search index to solve this?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand that when searching on your iPad, OneDrive files don’t show. We’re happy to provide some steps that may help.


First, make sure you’re running the latest software version: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


Then, make sure you have the following settings enabled: 


  • Settings > General > Spotlight Search > [App]


  • Settings > General > Spotlight Search > Suggestion in Search


  • Settings > General > Spotlight Search > Suggestion in Look Up


If that doesn’t help, try these steps for troubleshooting apps: If an app unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open


While the title of the article may not seem to pertain to your issue, these are great steps to take for issues with third-party apps.
