A tip for anyone reading this later.
Look at your SIM card, 3 corners are square and one is cut at an angle.
Look at your sim tray, 3 corners are square and one is at an angle.
The angle cut on the SIM card goes into the angled corner on the sim tray.

My interpretation at the time of the post was that is mislead by something named “12 AT&T”.
Interpreting it as ”iPhone 12”, my reply would not apply.

Contact AT&T:
Ask them for support with successfully transferring data between devices, when it come through use of the SIM Card.
