you would first record your ukulele part using Quick Time Player or Photo Booth, then use iMovie to add the background.
No, not with the current version of QuickTime. You would need a real movie editor for that. You may want to have a look at iMovie.
I tried IMovie, but I want to use a virtual background and record video of myself playing ukulele and singing. But Imovie has no recording option and will not allow me to use my webcam. Zoom works, the visual is good, but zooms audio quality is very bad.
which software should I get? Final cut is very expensive.
if zoom provides that ability but the audio is an issue, you may want to get a professional quality external mic.

Yeah I want to do it all at the same time. Zoom allows that ability visually, but the audio recording is low resolution.
Also, Photo booth I think used to have the green screen effect built in, but now I don’t believe it is an option.
Yes I have done that, but Zoom is not meant for recording instruments, just voices. I need another software which records with a virtual background and with good audio quality.
