Hand washing

when will the hand washing feature be added to the iwatch series 3? I got this as a birthday gift and I feel cheated out on the cool features like hand washing and using Apple Watch faces that are on the App Store

Hand washing on Apple Watch Series 3 Edition Hand washing isn’t available on my Apple Watch Series 3 Edition after I updated to watch OS 7, while it’s stated that it should be available. Anyone else having the same issue? It doesn’t show up in Settings or in the My Watch app?

The reason handwashing is not available is that this model does not feature the ambient sound detection technology and hardware that the Series 4 and above offer.
